Good Bye

As we have reached the final leg of our time at Leopold Primary School we have reached the end leg of running this blog.
Next year there will be a new manager, Inspector and crew to run this blog.
As the manager I would like to thanks you for your commitment to helping us run a fantastic blog. With out you this would be nothing.
As we go on we will remember our 7 years at Leopold and at Primary school we have watched it changed from 400- 500 students now 700 students with about 65 staff.

We are all going different ways and we might not see each other again so we are making the most of the 4 days we have together!
To celebrate the times we had together we will be doing the following:

- Class Party
- Kris Kringle
- Graduation
and a big auction is 6ML!

It is the end of the year. That means we will have a final auction. We will still be selling the couch and the rest but next week we have our final auction. Some things that will be sold are the potawotomi flag and the things we won from jump rope for heart.

For the weekend auction the things we have for sale are;

I’m in the buddies blog.

Yes I do.

What do you do in Buddies?

We make and organise activities for the grade 6′s to do with their buddies.

Who else is in the buddies blog?

Well there’s Casey, Miki, Chelsea T.H and myself.

How do you think of ideas for buddies?

We think of an idea and then search it on the internet, and then we use them.

Where do you get the materials for buddies?

We either by them or make them ourselves.

Who’s your buddy?

My buddy is Abby and I share her with Chelsea T.H.

Does Abby get lonely sometimes because you and Chelsea T.H are both in buddies?

Sometimes she does, but we try to get to her as soon as possible.

Cancerletics interview with Jordyn.

This Friday Leopold is having a cancerletics. We all can wear pink for a gold coin donation. All the money raised goes to the breast cancer foundation. We have interviewed Jordyn to find out what it is about.

What is cancerletics?

Jordyn-It is a sports day where we raise money for breast cancer.

What are we going to do?

Jordyn-Do different activities like sack racing, golf on a spoon racing and many more.

What made the sport crew come up with it?

Jordyn- Declan because of his mum and we know a lot of people with breat cancer so we thought of cancerletics.

How much money do you hope to raise?

Jordyn-About $1000.

How do you feel about breast cancer and the number of people diagnosed?

Jordyn- I think it is upsetting because young and old children are losing their mums, family members or friends and people think they might die.

What are you looking forward to or what do you think will be the best?

Jordyn-I think the lolly jars and the 3 legged race are going to be the best.

Breast cancer  is where you have cancer in your breast. Many people are diagnosed every day and it is also killing many people. The breast cancer foundation or the pink ribbon raises money for people that need it.

Musical Interview with Ella

Hey everyone here is our interview with Ella who’s in our school musical.

Hi Ella, what’s it like being in the musical?

It’s a bit scary at first but it’s a lot of fun.

What character do you play and what’s her role?

I play Jade and she starts off as a mean girl but then she gets kicked out of the group so she joins the nice girls.

How long did it take to practise the musical?

We’ve been practising since term 2 and it’s now almost the end of term 4 and we finished practising last week.

How many songs do you sing and what are they called?

I sing 2 songs are they are called On My Own and Take a Chance.

How did you get into the musical?

After the first audition they picked the top 20 and then we had to do another audition then they picked the characters.

What did you have to do in the audition?

We had to sing a song in front of the judges and then we had to read a bit of the script.

How many performances are you doing?

We are doing 3 but we have already done 1.

Do you plan on doing something like this in your future?

Well I really enjoyed it so probably yes!

Graduation Practise has started!

We have stated our graduation practise with our choreographer Xavier to the song 2012 it ain’t the end. I want to tell you a little more about graduation! We graduate 1 day before we finish, We can buy a Bear or a Ball to sign names on, There are going to be special awards give in out, It is a formal occasion, We all have to bring a plate of food and the day before we have a celebration at Adventure park Geelong.
Most of us have been together since prep it is going to be emotional goodbye. All of us are going to different schools such as: Saint Ignatius, Bellarine secondary school, Newcomb High School, Geelong High,Sacred heart and Matthew Flinders.

Not long to go now. Only 2 and a Half weeks!
